Tonight

I had such a nice surprise.

Gillian Anderson came to see my show, and stayed and chatted after. This is special. She ( the woman not the fame) has always been someone i really admired and had the most respect for. We have met many times and each time it has been at a very pivotal moment in my life and her advice has come at the right time. Many years have past, her support that i go to drama school meant so much. Her words a year ago telling me to grit my teeth and keep going meant even more to me as i was having a very hard time in london.

And tonight, nearly a year exactly to the day since i used my last 20 quid to get a ticket to see her perform in Ibsen's 'A Doll's House' she came, and sat in the audience in my play.

There are really no words for the moment when someone you look up to, gives you that support. Im very happy, and its a dream come true to be quite honest. To have her come back stage and talk to me and to spend that time talking to the person i used to idolise so much as a young man.. to now be a lady i can speak with about performing and as a real person.

well there are no words for that.

and in my personal life, this week has been hard.

but a line from ' A Dolls House' always stuck in my mind '

"I have another duty equally sacred...My duty to myself." -Nora Helmer, Act III

and its with that in mind, that i move forward. Im working hard, and people are noticing that. I will move forward.

And to Gillian. Thank you, your support tonight and kindness you always show me means the world to me.

With that in mind.

Im heading to bed to read and relax, and to put the personal heart ache im assuming i will face tomorrow behind me.
